Inverted Plug Valve

Features

  • Pressure-Balancing Mechanism: Small holes in the plug connect the port area with the top and bottom chambers, ensuring the line pressure acts equally on all sides. This prevents the plug from sticking (taper locking) and reduces operating torque by more than 60%.
  • Inverted Design: Unlike standard valves, the tapered plug is placed upside down (the wide end is at the bottom). This orientation uses fluid pressure to push the plug firmly against the seat, increasing sealing capability as line pressure rises.
  • Forced Lubrication System: Special sealants (grease) can be injected under high pressure through a check valve. This forms a protective 0.3-0.5mm film between the plug and the body, providing zero leakage, reducing wear, and allowing the valve to be serviced while still under full pressure.
  • Self-Cleaning & Anti-Clogging: Because of the inverted orientation and constant lubrication, dirt and debris are prevented from settling on the critical sealing surfaces.
  • Metal-to-Metal + Soft Sealing: These valves combine tough metal-to-metal seating for high-pressure durability with soft seal inserts (like PTFE) to achieve tight, bubble-proof shut-off
